in this unit, the student will:

- explain similarities and differences;
- make and revise predictions;
- learn to stay on topic while writing;
- learn about early settlers in Upper Canada.

Throughout the book, the student will learn the strategies on reading, writing, speaking, listening and media literacy, and trying out these strategies.
